I wanted to share the story behind Lichfield Pet Cremations and why opening this business means so much to me and my family.

🤍 Last August, I lost my beautiful cat, Pringle, very suddenly at 15 years old. 🐾

🤍 I had raised her since she was a tiny kitten alongside her sister, Peppa, after adopting them from Cats Protection. 🐱

Within just a few days, Pringle became very poorly and, heartbreakingly, had to be put to sleep at the vets. 💔

As she was my first ever pet, I had absolutely no idea what to do or where to turn.

Facing Goodbye 🪽🤍

I knew I wanted to bring her home so that her sister could see that she had passed. 🪽

For me, it was important that Peppa had the opportunity to say goodbye in her own way. 🤍

I remember feeling completely overwhelmed. The thought of burying her didn’t feel right for me, but equally, I didn’t like the thought of leaving her at the vets. It was then that a family member suggested using a pet cremation service. 🤍

Until that moment, I had no idea these services even existed, and I was surprised by how few options there were locally. Being able to take Pringle somewhere peaceful and caring, and having her ashes returned so quickly, brought me great comfort during such a heartbreaking time. 🪽🤍

That experience is the reason Lichfield Pet Cremations was created. 🐾🪽

I want to bring this service to Lichfield so that families have somewhere local they can turn to for comfort, peace, and support when they lose a beloved pet. 🤍

Losing a pet is deeply personal. 🐾

They are never “just animals” — they are companions, best friends, and cherished members of the family. 🤍

That is why I want Lichfield Pet Cremations to be a peaceful and caring place where families can say their final goodbye to their much-loved pets. 🕯️🐾

Our farewell room has been thoughtfully created to give families privacy, comfort, and all the time they need with their pets. 🪽🤍

Having experienced this heartbreak myself, I know how overwhelming grief can feel. 💔

My hope is that nobody has to struggle to find support during one of the most difficult moments they may ever face. This will be a family-run business built entirely on love, compassion, and genuine care for both animals and the families who love them. 🐾🤍

We will be opening very soon in Lichfield and hope to become a place of comfort and support within our community. 🕊️
